Developed in the 1950’s exclusively by our predecessor, Pacific Vegetable Oil Company, safflower oil is today one of the most successful specialty oils available to consumers.

Cal Oils is the world’s largest safflower oil producer. 

Our contract growers meet our exacting specifications to ensure proper handling from planting to harvesting.

To support this product, we have in place our field agronomist with many years of experience with safflower, and agriculture in general.

Our growers buy only certified seeds from our approved supplier.

Cal Oils also maintains ongoing research for new and better varieties of Safflower.

Cal Oils offers Oleic (high monounsaturated fat), and Linoleic (high polyunsaturated fat) safflower oils.

Cal Oils is presently marketing safflower oil in Europe and Pacific Rim.

We also work directly with Mexican growers on our safflower projects and growing programs.  We have close relationships with Mexican seed crushers who supply us with the safflower oil for the international market.

We also maintain relationships with major suppliers in Argentina to assist in servicing our growing international markets.
