Cal Oils caters to some of the most meticulous companies in the world.  Our quality standards meet and even exceed the requirements of our international, national food and pharmaceutical customers. 

Cal Oils is voluntarily audited on an annual basis by the American Institute of Baking (AIB), and by the Orthodox Union for Kosher approval and certification. 

Each step of our processing is closely monitored by our Quality Control lab.  Along with industry standard testing methods, we utilize high-tech equipment such as our Gas Chromatography analyzers, ICP analyzer, Infrared analyzer, and OSI oil stability analyzer. 

All products are thoroughly tested before leaving our plant, ensuring conformity to our specifications, and the satisfaction of our customers.

Cal Oils maintains an extensive Food Safety Policies and Practices manual.  This manual helps to insure safe product handling and shipping at Cal Oils.  Included in it are our policies on product transportation, vehicle tamper-evident seals, HACCP program, SSOPs, and product recall procedures.  It is available for on-site review by our customers.

Cal Oils maintains an ongoing food safety training program with all of our plant employees and supervisors.

Cal Oils buys its supplies and raw materials only from known and appropriately licensed/permitted suppliers.  We currently buy only from our long-time suppliers with whom we have extensive history, and who also belong to industry oversight groups such as NIOP, FOSFA, and OU Kosher.

We formed our Plant Security and Foods Safety committee in October 2001.  This committee meets and communicates on a regular basis to maintain a proper level of food safety and facility security at our plant.

Our computer systems have the proper safeguards and robust “firewalls” to help prevent Internet intrusions, etc. 

Our data is backed up daily and sent to a secure location by a contracted company for safekeeping.  We have had this safeguard in place for many years, even before the advent of the Internet.
